How To - View Penalty Fare

After you have found a penalty fare notice via the search form you will be brought to the edit case page.

The information is split into tabs to make editing the data easier. The tabs are as follows:

  • Overview

  • Penalty Fare

  • Individual

  • Details

  • Work Flow

  • Documents

  • Appeals

  • Comments

The first tab, "Overview", displays all of the information related to the case. The information is separated into different panes to group relevant information together. As more information is added to the case, such as comments, appeals and documents, these will also appear here.

The second tab, "Penalty Fare", displays information about the penalty fare. This includes any payments that have been recorded against it, as well as its suitability for summons.

The third tab, "Individual", displays all information related to the individual who was issued the penalty fare. This tab has three sub tabs which are as follows:

  • Details

  • Address History

  • Comments

The "Details" tab displays the current information about the individual including what they look like and any previous offenses they have. The "Address History" tab displays any previous addresses that they have given. The third tab, "Comments", contains a list of all comments related to the individual.

The fourth main tab, "Details" after "Individual", displays the status and information about offense and the ability to reissue summons.

The sixth tab, "Work Flow", displays information about where the case is in its workflow. The completed and pending steps are displays along with the ability to process the current workflow step.

The seventh tab, "Documents", displays lists of all the documents that are associated to the case. The documents are spit into three lists, "Inbound", "Outbound" and "Other". If a document is generated via a workflow step then it will appear here. You can use this area to upload documents received from individuals for later reference.

The eighth tab, "Appeals", displays information about any appeals that may be logged against the case. You can use this section to create a new appeal however it is advised that you use the method described in "How To - Add an Appeal".

The final tab, "Comments", contains comments related to the case. Comments can be added for anyone to view at a later date and they will also appear on the "Overview" tab for easy access when dealing with individuals on the phone.
