How To - Search for a Penalty Fare Notice

The penalty fare notice search box can be found on the home screen. You can navigate to the home screen from any page by clicking on the Revenue Shield logo. The search box allows you to search using a number of criteria.

The simplest way to search is to enter a PFN Number into the "Reference" field, select "Penalty Fare Notice" from "Search Type" and press “Search”. If you only know part of the PFN Number unselect the “Match Exact PFN Number”, this will search for any penalty fare notice that matches the enter PFN Number. The same also if you are searching for an On The Spot using it’s receipt number.

In addition to searching by the PFN or Receipt Number you can search using the individual’s name or part address.

You can filter the dates that you want to search within by selecting the “Filter Dates” checkbox. This will display the date selector widget

You use the widget to select which date range you wish to search on, or by a single date.

When you are happy with your search criteria, press the “Search” button to perform the search. You will be taken to the search results page displaying the results from your search.

The bar at the top of the search results displays the criteria that you used to search. You can view and change the criteria by pressing the “Show/Hide” button. This will display the search criteria allowing you to perform another search.

In addition to this you can also export the results to an excel spreadsheet, to do so press the export results button. This will prompt you to either open or download an excel spreadsheet containing the results.

If you wish to view an item press the “Edit” button to take you to the edit page.

You can search for a penalty fare notice at any point by entering the PFN Number into the search box in the navigation menu at the top of the screen and pressing the "Search" button
