How To - Add An Appeal
Using the navigation menu at the top of the screen select "Data Entry" and then select the "Quick Edit PFN" menu item.
This will take you to the Quick Edit PFN screen. You will need to enter the number of the penalty fare notice that you wish to add an appeal against. Enter the number into the textbox that is labelled "PFN Number"
Press the search button to load the penalty fare notice. This will load the penalty fare information. From the menu on the right hand side press the “Add Appeal” button
This will open the “Create Appeal” Dialog. This dialog allows you to enter information about the appeal you are creating.
The dialog has two options visible, the first “Appeal by Proxy” is if an appeal is being made on behalf of another person, the second “Created” is the date the appeal was received. When you select the “Appeal by Proxy” checkbox it will display additional fields to allow you to record information about the person who is making the appeal.
After you have enter the appeal information press the “Save” button. This will update the menu providing you with a new button allowing you to “Generate Custom Appeal
Acknowledgement Letter”. Press this button to created the acknowledgement letter.
After you have finished amending the details press the “Generate” button to create the letter.
After you have printed the letter off, press the “Next Step” button in the Workflow widget. This will move the appeal to the next step, "Enter Appeal Result", ready to be completed in the future.
